Backstory: The Long WinterMerelda Blay's story begins in the icy expanse of Abora, a world that succumbed to an unending Ice Age, a testament to nature's unforgiving power. Born into a small, nomadic tribe, Merelda's early life was shaped by the relentless cold and the ceaseless struggle for survival. The tribe, a close-knit band of resilient souls, wandered the stark, frozen landscape, finding solace and shelter in the naturally formed ice caves that dotted the terrain.
The world of Abora, with its endless snow and ice, was all that Merelda knew. The tales of a time before the Ice Age were just that - tales, whispered around the flickering flames of their modest fires. The residents of this frigid world had two choices: adapt to the merciless cold or perish. Merelda's tribe chose adaptation, mastering the harsh environment with a stoic grace. Life in Abora was not just about survival; it was about harmony with their surroundings. Merelda grew up learning the intricate art of living in sync with the icy wilderness. Her tribe relied on the bounties of the blizzards, hunting when the snowstorms subsided, always respectful of the balance between taking and giving back to nature. This respect extended to the wildlife of Abora, with the tribe seeking cooperation with most animals. However, not all creatures of Abora were friendly. The dragons, formidable beings that dwelled in the ice valleys, were a constant threat. These dragons saw the tribe not as potential allies but as prey. The tribe's encounters with these dragons were a stark reminder of the fine line between life and death in the frozen world. Merelda's tribe harbored a unique belief that set them apart from others. They held the conviction that if the ice of Abora ever fully melted, it would signify the end of their world. This belief stemmed from a deep understanding of their environment. The ice, in their eyes, was not a symbol of death but a protective barrier, shielding life from the devastating flames of the dragons. It was a guardian, preserving the delicate balance of their existence. Merelda, growing up with these beliefs and traditions, developed a profound connection to her icy homeland. She learned to see beauty in the stark whiteness, to find joy in the simplicity of their way of life, and to respect the deadly grace of the dragons. Her story is one of resilience, a testament to the strength of her people, who found a way to thrive in a world that others might see as inhospitable. In the heart of the Ice Age, Merelda Blay found warmth in her community, purpose in her tribe's struggle, and a deep love for the enigmatic world of Abora. |

Equipment
General
A set of Charkams with four two inch blades poking out evenly along the edges, the circle itself has a radius of four inches and the whole thing is made up of iron.
Chaos Egg: (x1)
What secrets does this edgy egg hold? It’s painted black, with flames on it! Test your luck and throw the egg on the ground in your time of need to see if the yolk of creation smiles upon you. (Characters will roll a d20 when using this egg, and MUST accept whatever happens based on the list below)
1: Rotten egg! Your character immediately vomits all over the place, and is stunned for one rotation.
2-9: Barrage Egg! Somehow, throwing one edgy egg on the ground has given you three more edgy eggs in your hand. These eggs may be thrown like projectiles, reaching a maximum distance of thirty feet away in a straight line after being thrown. They move at an average speed (underhand toss) and their toughness -- and destruction -- ranks are equal to your primary tree. If these eggs manage to strike a solid object before passing their maximum range, they will create small, four foot radius explosions
10-14: Flashbang Egg! The egg produces a loud bang and a bright flash upon destruction. This will momentarily blind and deafen anyone within 30 feet of the egg (larger distances for creatures with enhanced sight and hearing). It doesn’t seem to affect the caster, neat!
15-19: Protein Egg! Wow, for some reason it feels as though you’ve eaten a raw egg! It fills you with d e t e r m i n a t i o n. Increase any of your stats by x2, with an upper limit of x4. This wonderful protein enhancement will last for a maximum of five rotations.
20: Escape Egg! An egg construct large enough to fit the caster appears, made of diamond toughness material. This egg can float up to 50 feet off of the ground and move at speeds considered to be x4. Upon entering the escape egg, a player can announce a desired location they have been to before, and the egg will speed off towards it. This construct will remain until it is destroyed or until the desired location has been reached.
Bunny Hood
Much like the headband, the design of this thing is obviously meant to place a pair of rabbit ears on top of the wearer’s head. This time it’s a hood, and probably belongs to a cloak of some kind, but it’s nowhere to be found. Grants the wearer increased physical movement speed by two stages (x2 movement speed) but does not stack with any buffs or pre-existing racials. The hood in its entirety is considered to be the durability of Iron on the durability scale. Breaking this item will cancel out all of its magical effects.
Message Flower (x1)
Origami flower folded out of a special enchanted paper. To properly use, the owner verbally orders the flower to unfold, writes a message on the paper, signs their name as well as the name of the person they mean to receive this note, and then orders it to fold again. The next step requires the owner to light the flower on fire, while the receiver’s face is pictured in their mind. If these steps are followed, the note will mysteriously appear in the intended recipient’s hand as a flat piece of paper. Message flower cannot be used to transfer or transmit spells.
