The Bloody Expansions: "The Red"Reinier Dunn was a beacon of hope for her modest family, a full-blooded Arkiean whose very existence was considered a blessing. In a society where bloodlines often determined one's destiny, Reinier's arcane lineage was a promising twist of fate for her kin. From her earliest years, it was clear that she was destined for greatness, her intellect and talents surpassing those of her peers.
Her childhood was a mosaic of accelerated learning and growing prestige. Schools became sanctuaries where she delved into magical theories and abstractions that would have baffled seasoned scholars. Reinier conversed with the wisdom of an aged sage, her discourse betraying a maturity far beyond her years. It was during these formative years that Reinier first identified with the Lunar Sages, a prestigious order that juggled governance and magic with unparalleled finesse. As a Lunar Sage, Reinier's acumen in management and leadership flourished. Her name became synonymous with efficiency and innovation within the government. Yet, despite the usual reserve of the Sages from the battlefield, Reinier found herself anointed as a field Officer. With a strategist's mind and a leader's heart, she led her forces to stifle the Raids from the North during the waning years of the Second Great Expansion. The Third Great Expansion carved a different tale for Reinier, one written in the blood-red ink of battlefields. Known for her gentle demeanor, Reinier 'the Red' emerged as a fierce protector of the Empire of Aresdon. Her strategic brilliance and unwavering courage earned her both reverence and fear, and her campaigns in the Southern territories cemented her legacy. The Butcher, they called her, not out of malice, but respect for her ruthless defense of the realm. Yet, the irony of her nickname, "the Red," did not escape Reinier. It was a stark contrast to her true nature—a scholar, a sage, a guiding star in the political firmament. But she knew the Empire required more than just governance; it needed protection, a shield against those who would see it crumble. Thus, Reinier Dunn accepted her role in the grand tapestry of Aresdon's history, wielding both pen and sword with equal mastery to shape the destiny of her beloved empire. |
Blessed Arkiean
Strength: 2x Strength 2x Speed 1.5x Reaction speed A blessing has been bestowed upon her allowing her to passively see those injured/ in need. Any Injured/sick individual within a 15 feet radius will show up in her sight as a bright blue hue. This ability is based on the change in energy of their physical body, so if a spell hides the body or bodies energies in any way this does not work. If the individual would not willingly accept help it also does not work. Overuse of it, or being in the presence of many sick individuals greatly fatigues her, though this effect is lessened as she helps individuals/ heals them. Individuals possessing normal/typical surface injuries that the naked eye would be able to pick up anyway without the need for sensory or special equipment, will be illuminated in Reinier’s vision with a soft blue flow around their person. Their natural energies allow this effect to occur.Any magic of any rank can intercept this ability, assuming the intent is to somehow hide obvious naturally visible injury from the naked eye. If the individual would not willingly accept help it also does not work. She will NOT be able to use this to determine people have injuries that are below the surface and otherwise invisible. Overuse of it, or being in the presence of many sick individuals greatly fatigues her, though this effect is lessened as she helps individuals/ heals them. Weaknesses: Increased caloric intake. 2000 base to 4000 2x weakness to physical magic(kinetics, magnetics, transmutation) |
